I have been meaning to post about my Matthew Mead!

He is brilliant.
His design is simple and fresh and sweet.
Kinda like the homemade whipped cream my mom used to make.

And lookee lou!!!!!

A new magazine from him.  I was in Stop and Shop two weeks ago
and RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES!!!!

I see my Matthew Mead's new mag Halloween Tricks and Treats.

It is as good as the fluffy stuff, but will satisfy your creative Halloween cravings without adding inches to your hips.

"What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.

Have you been a thread in someone's life lately?

Is your thread warm and strong?
flexible and bright? filled with love?

feeling off, then get out of your rut and start stitching!

The Bailout

This was emailed to me the amazing Teri. She did not write, so don't get all huffy with her. She forwarded it.

And don't get huffy with me either.

When I finished reading it my attitude changed. I am not telling you how, but read it for yourself and see where your opinion stands after it.

I’m against the  $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I’m in favor of giving  $85,000,000,000 to America in
a We Deserve It  Dividend.
To make the math simple, let’s  assume there are 200,000,000
bona fide adults in the U.S.
Our population is about  301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might  be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.
So divide 200 million adults 18+   into $85 billon that equals  $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to  every person 18+ as a
We Deserve It  Dividend (WDID).
Of course, it would NOT be tax  free.
So let’s assume a tax rate of  30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay  $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right  back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult  18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has  $595,000.00.
What would you do  with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your  family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing  crisis solved.
Repay college loans – what a  great boost to new grads
Put away money for college –  it’ll be there
Save in a bank – create money to  loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create  jobs
Invest in the market – capital  drives growth
Pay for your parent’s medical  insurance – health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come  clean – or else
Remember this is for every adult  U S Citizen 18+  including the  folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman  Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of  course, for those serving in our Armed  Forces.
If we’re going to re-distribute  wealth let’s really do it...instead of trickling  out
a puny $1000.00 ( “vote buy” )  economic incentive.
If we’re going to do an $85  billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U S Citizen  18+!
As for AIG – liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to  being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain  hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here’s the  rationale. We deserve it and AIG  doesn’t.
Sure it’s a crazy idea that can  “never work.”
But can you imagine the  Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic  Boom?

W-D-I-D!
I trust my fellow adult  Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend  more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington  DC.

And remember, The WDID plan only  really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is  returned

instantly in taxes to Uncle  Sam.

I am blown away.

This is bigger and better than Martha.
Better than winning a 1 million bucks.
Sweeter than sweet. Corine, my favorite Corine, age 12.

Speechless.

My brother sent me this email and attachment.

Jen, thought you’d find this fun to read. Nice early birthday present!

Respect

Everyone has someone that they consider an idol or role model. Someone you
can look up to, someone that you know will do the right thing. I respect my aunt Jen
because she owns Strano Designs, works hard, and loves to have fun. Respect is a
very important aspect of a person. Some people just genuinely have a lot of respect for
everything, while some do not. My aunt Jen is someone who has respect for everything,
and thatʼs why I respect her.

My aunt is the owner of a home ribbon business called Strano Designs. She
designs the ribbon, sends the designs to a factory where they make them, and the the
factory gives the finished ribbon back so she can ship it around the world to people.  From my point of view, she does an amazing job of keeping it all organized. Because of her, I am inspired to start a small business when I get older.

Aunt Jen works hard at anything that comes in her path. She is a naturally good,
strong worker. She sets her mind to the task and does it as soon as possible. Since she
is so prompt, aunt Jen is usually the organizer of our familyʼs events. Some of the events
she organizes are Christmas dinner, Easter egg hunt, and Thanksgiving. I was as
prompt as she is.

One thing I like about my aunt Jen, is that she loves having fun with kids. My two
cousins, Ella and Sophia, (her daughters, ages 7 and 8) and my brother Sam, (age 8)
and myself usually do places together. She plans fun activities that she knows everyone
will like. Three years ago, she took us all to the Boston Childrenʼs Museum. It was so
much fun!

As you can see, my aunt is a very caring person. Strano Designs has become a
successful, growing company. She continues to work hard at everything, everyday.
While sheʼs working, she always manages to squeeze in some fun. Therefore, my aunt
really is the owner of Strano Designs, works hard, and enjoys having fun!

I have never had a massage... Elly , I know this  freaks you!
I dream in vibrant color and almost every night.
I have never seen the movie Titanic.
I drove Gabe Kaplan to dinner one night in my Subaru station wagon.

one of my lifelong dreams is to become a voice over person.

Labor Day Weekend

And a  perfect time! we went to Town Neck Beach here in Sandwich. There is a beautiful boardwalk that goes over the marsh and creek and out to Cape Cod Bay.  We stayed on the creek side and did the following....
The girls and I jumped off the boardwalk bridge to celebrate a great summer coming to an end.
Lou and I went kayaking.
Lou's parents were here and took a nap on the beach.
We went walking on the Bay side.
When the tide was going out Lou and the girls floated down the creek.
I  read a fluffy Jane Green book.
Once the tide was out the kids went to the mud flats and went crabbing.

It was a great day.
and to top it all off we went out for fried clams that night for dinner.

What a JackAss!

I just heard something about a person I have NEVER liked.
He has been a thorn in my side for 12 years.
He was strange in a bad way.

I have not seen him around for a while and I heard this today, that he woke up one morning and decided to leave his wife of 20+ years. The idiot left a note on the kitchen counter along with 2 months  of mortgage payments telling his wife he was leaving. He couldn't handle it anymore.

He is a jackass thru and thru.
good riddance.

If you have a jackass in your life I hope they go away too.

What I have been up to

Well lots of different things.
This past weekend, we decided to try going out to an open air market to test one of our new products... coming soon!

What a bust!

I got up at 5 am to get a "prime" spot next to the fresh lobster booth {7.99/lb!!} and if that was not smelly enough, on the other side was Darlene the psychic Advisor. Who had incense out of a can!! and was smoking one cig after another.

Darlene did readings  and I listened.
Here was her technique.

Every customer.......  I am getting an M, Margaret, Micheal , some M name.

Catching on?

and then sometimes it was a J name.

Well M & J are the most popular letters in the alphabet for names.

And after putting up with the lobster smell and Darlene, I only had 6 people in total walk by. Walk by!!! No one was there.  So at 12  packed up and  went to the pool.

And where the hell do you buy incense in a can????
